What?

GLOBE is a brand-new Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Programme in Global Change Ecology and Biodiversity Management.

When?

The 1st edition of the GLOBE EMJM will start on September 25. Application process will open in the fall of ‘24.

Where?

1st semester: Madrid (Spain)

Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC) is a young, dynamic and socially engaged public university. You will learn advanced concepts and methods to assess global change drivers and biodiversity conservation, and training in data science, scientific writing, and communication

2nd semester: Bangor (UK)

Bangor University has a forward-looking approach and long tradition of academic excellence. You will consolidate your knowledge of biodiversity conservation by combining natural, social, and applied sciences with practical experiences for conservation strategies

Summer School: Tlaxcala (Mexico)

This immersive experience hosted by Universidad Autónoma de Tlaxcala will offer a unique chance to apply your knowledge, skills, and competences in a real-world setting, including the social dimension of science. Additionally, you will have the chance to visit some of the most fascinating ecosystem types of the New World.

3rd semester: Lisbon (Portugal)

Universidade de Lisboa is the largest and most prestigious higher education institution in Portugal. Here you will learn methodologies to translate ecological and biodiversity theory into action through environmental management.

4th semester: Master thesis at Madrid, Lisbon, Bangor, Tlaxcala, or any Associated Partner

The programme ends in a research or technological Master Thesis, providing you with an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge advancements in the field, or to provide science-based solutions to environmental change
